Rosalind's Bridal and Alterations BLOG DEBUT

Hello everyone!

Welcome to Rosalind’s Bridal & Alterations’ blog site. We love everything about clothing, dresses, suits, furniture, fixing things, creating things, cleaning things, and whatever you can think about related to a sewing machine.

We are a little shop in downtown La Jolla, CA owned and operated by Rosalind. She’s been there for over 15 years and every year, her customers bring her unique challenges and adventures up and down the mountainous hills of fabric.

So, to start this new blog off, we decided to do a photo shoot showcasing our extensive collection of wedding dresses available for sale. Thanks to the help of partners, Adrienne Lam, A Lil’ Wedding Planner, SimplyTwo Photography, and Halycon Aveda Salon, we were able to finish our collection of 60 different wedding dress styles within 5 hours, and the help of 5 models. To tell you the truth, it was an exhaustingly long day, but it was well worth every laugh, chuckle, gasp, and smile. Each girl looked amazing.

So, here’s just a little teaser of what we did.

  1. Tailoring can transform your clothes. Even if, you're a straight off-the-rack size, a few judicious tucks can make your clothes, look like a million bucks. If you're short, have lost weight, or want to knock new life into old stuff, it's also great. I have a friend who buys everything in random sizes, at clearance sales and then, have them adjusted; she looks great, and super-professional.
